According to official sources, it takes 7.9 seconds for the car to accelerate from 0 to 100, and the top speed reaches 144 km / h. Since the Leaf is a full-fledged electric car, there is no need to talk about such an indicator as fuel consumption, but the "range" parameter comes to the fore.

According to the manufacturer, on a full battery charge, the electric car is able to overcome: according to the Japanese JCO8 cycle - 400 km, the European NEDC - 379 km and the American EPA - 241 km.

Charging from zero to one hundred percent takes 8-16 hours in the case of using a household network, while the recharging time is influenced by the type of outlet used - with variable or constant current supply. When recharged from a fast charging station, the car will charge up to 80% in just 40 minutes.

It is extremely curious that the rechargeable batteries of an electric vehicle, if necessary, can be used as a power source for everyday household appliances.


The second generation Leaf is based on a proprietary front-wheel drive bogie "Nissan-EV", which involves extensive use of ultra-strong steel at the core of the body. At the front, the manufacturer installed an independent suspension with standard MacPherson struts, and at the rear - a semi-independent suspension with a torsion beam.

The steering has received an electric booster, and ventilated discs on all wheels, supplemented by ABS and EBD systems, are responsible for deceleration.

Options and price of the 2018 Nissan Leaf

In the domestic Japanese market, the new Nissan Leaf went on sale in January 2018, and the car will reach the North American market a few months later, although the car is already available for pre-order there. The manufacturer promises that in the near future the novelty should reach the Russian market, but the exact timing and cost of the car in our market are still unknown.

In the US, the car is offered in three trim levels (S, SV and SL), and its minimum cost starts at $ 29.9 thousand (about 1.69 million rubles). The list of basic equipment includes:
