The compact Korean Kia Sid is in the top 10 of the most popular cars in Russia and the CIS countries. The model with clear Ceed lettering is available as a hatchback. The second generation of Kia Sid 2017 was equipped with the same engines and transmissions, with the exception of a 1.0-liter turbocharged unit. For the rest, there are practically no differences in the technical characteristics of the generations.
Braking system and suspension
The choice of trim levels for the new Kia Sid 2019 is not small enough, but the braking system does not depend on the option chosen. Front ventilated disc brakes can be installed 280x23 or 305x25. At the rear, the brake discs are slightly smaller than 272x10 or 284x10. As for the handbrake, depending on the configuration, it can be mechanical or electromechanical. The second generation of the hatchback had the same list, so there are no special changes. As for the suspension of the new Kia Sid, it is independent. Front mounted MacPherson strut on springs, with anti-roll bar.
At the rear, there is an independent multi-link with springs, in addition, telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers and an anti-roll bar. For the perfect match, the alloy wheels were used as the basis. Fitted as standard with 15 ″ tires with 195/65 tires. 16 ″ (205/55) and 17 ″ (225/45) are available as options. There is one caveat, as a spare wheel there can be a steel disc or a thin stowaway.
