Let's get started. To begin with, we remove the wheel, of course, the car must be hung on a jack. It is important to put the car on something more stable, for example, on a chock. Now unscrew the nut of the ball joint. It is important to first unscrew the finger, because separately from the lever, the ball from the bipod simply cannot be reached. We do not unscrew the nut completely so that it does not jump out anywhere. Then, with strong blows with a hammer on the bipod, we dry the ball finger.

IMPORTANT! Avoid using screw pullers because otherwise you could flatten the thread edge. This will lead to the fact that the ball finger will have to be cut off with a grinder, because it will rotate with the nut, and there is no other way to remove it.

Now we simply unscrew the two bolts by 17, lower the lever down with a crowbar or a pry bar, then put a new ball joint VAZ 2114. It is very important that the fastening bolts begin to tighten by hand during installation, otherwise there is a risk of damaging the threads, which will result in replacing the hub assembly.
