At the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, security officials seized many fake products from car accessories manufacturers in China. They were accused of copyright infringement, while the products matched one to one with the original.

The tuning auto exhibition in Las Vegas called SEMA Show always brings together a lot of car manufacturers, and especially manufacturers of car accessories. As a rule, all these companies that presented their products at the exhibition must have certificates. Often they already have a lot of experience behind in this area. This year's auto exhibition was not without incidents.

The SEMA Show was visited by representatives of the US Justice Department and seized all the products of the Chinese representatives. As part of such a seizure, the stands of six representative offices of companies from China were closed, all of them are suspected for the same reason. Illegal copying of parts of the American manufacturer OMIX-ADA. For many years they have specialized in the production of various accessories and components for Jeep vehicles.

As stated in the news from Automotive News, earlier the manufacturer OMIX-ADA has already applied to the court of the state of Nevada with several statements that the listed Chinese manufacturers carried out a show during the day, and also sold counterfeit parts at the exhibition. Exactly the same as the original parts. Among them at SEMA were the bonnet locks, special fasteners for lighting equipment, as well as the radiator grilles of the Jeep Wrangler SUV. According to OMIX-ADA, it followed that this was not an isolated case, since the company had previously filed a similar statement with the fact that Chinese manufacturers systematically counterfeit and sell similar parts over the Internet at Amazon and eBay. This time, Gloria Navarro, a district judge, caught the manufacturer hot, and the property of those suspected of making and selling counterfeits without permission was seized.

Among such suspects at the Sema Show are manufacturers Guangzhou Vcan Electronic Technology Co., Sanmak Lighting Co., Changzhou Jiulong Auto Lamps Factory, Unity 4wd Accessories Co., Shenzen Unisun Technology Co. and Maxgrand Ltd. The date for the court hearing on counterfeit parts is set for November 10th.

Peter McGillive, Vice President of SEMA Show 2016, commented that all exhibitors must be confident that they can truly provide the buyer with unique accessories of the right quality. The issue of protecting a manufacturer's intellectual property rights is posed by an important party to any of the manufacturers and consumers. As a little bit, the companies found to be in violation of the law will never again be able to present their parts at the SEMA Show.Jeep
